If you don't have a three-meter, you can use visual measurement: after the engine starts, open the battery and water cap to see if there are bubbles in each cell. Special attention is to do this test will produce hydrogen, so the test must not smoke, in order to avoid the risk of explosion and fire.
Open the battery and add the water cover to see if the water level is in normal position. Generally, there are upper and lower markings on the side of the battery for your reference. If the water level is below the subscript line, distilled water must be added. If distilled water is not available at once, filtered tap water can be used for emergency response.
