Error operation 1:
Run Cummins generator set with insufficient cooling water or high temperature of cooling water and oil. The cooling capacity of Cummins generator unit will reduce its cooling effect, and the diesel engine will not overheat because of the cooling. The high oil temperature of cooling water and oil will cause overheating of diesel oil. At this time, the main heat of the cylinder head, cylinder sleeve, piston assembly and valve of the diesel generator set is large, and its mechanical properties, such as strength and toughness, are sharply reduced, the deformation of the parts is increased, the clearance between parts is reduced and the wear of the machine parts is accelerated. There will be a crack and the failure of the machine. The overheating of the diesel generating set will also worsen the combustion process of the diesel engine, resulting in abnormal operation of the injector, poor atomization and increased carbon deposition.
Error operation two:
After the cold start of the Cummins generator set, the throttle is suddenly bombarded. If the throttle is bombarded, the speed of the diesel generating set increases rapidly, which causes some friction surfaces on the unit to be severely worn out because of dry friction. In addition, the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft are greatly affected by the force, causing strong impact and easily damaging parts.
Error operation three:
The Cummins generator is loaded with the load after cold start. When the diesel generator set is started, because of the high viscosity of the oil and poor fluidity, the oil supply of the oil pump is insufficient. The friction surface of the unit is badly lubricated because of the poor lubrication. Therefore, the diesel generator set should be idle operation temperature after cooling and starting, waiting for oil temperature to reach 40 degrees Celsius above the load operation.
Error operation four:
Cummins generator will be shut down immediately after the load is suddenly stopped or suddenly disloaded. After the diesel generating set is stopped, the cooling capacity of the cooling system stops, the heat dissipation capacity is drastically reduced, the heating parts are lost and the cracks are easily caused by the overheating of the cylinder head, cylinder liner and cylinder body, or the piston overexpansion card is killed in the cylinder sleeve.
Error operation five:
The Cummins generator set is running when the oil is insufficient. At this time, due to insufficient oil supply, the friction surface is short of oil supply, resulting in abnormal wear. Therefore, before starting the diesel generating set and during the operation of the diesel generating set, it is necessary to ensure that the oil is sufficient to prevent the failure of burning tiles and pulling cylinders caused by lack of oil.
