Expert weapon: how to maintain Cummins diesel generator in spring and autumn?

Update time:2018-6-4

Spring maintenance of Cummins diesel generator
(1) the use of steam to clean the diesel engine:
Steam cleaning is the most effective way to clean dirty diesel engines or equipment. If there is no steam, the diesel engine can be cleaned with prescribed solvents.
(2) not to be impacted by all the flushing nozzles, to protect all electrical components and wires.
(3) check the suspension device of the diesel engine:
Diesel engine mounting bolts occasionally loose, causing diesel suspension and brackets to wear quickly. Therefore, all bolts and nuts must be tightened when necessary, damaged and replaced and lost to be filled.
Autumn maintenance of Cummins diesel generator
(1) cleaning the cooling system of the Cummins diesel generator
The cooling system must be cleaned to make it work properly. The scale in the system reduces the heat absorbed by the water jacket and the heat discharged to the radiator. Use clean water to avoid clogging hundreds of tiny channels in radiator and cylinder block. The radiator core, the heater core, the oil cooler and the cylinder body are blocked by the scale and sediment, and the chemical cleaning agent is used to clean, neutralize and rinse with the chemical cleaning agent.
(2) check Cummins diesel generator cold start preheater
Remove the 1 / 8in pipe plug from the intake manifold near the electric plug. Check the working condition of the preheater as described in part (1).
(3) check Cummins diesel generator thermostat and gasket.
Remove the thermostat from the thermostat housing and check its switch temperature (Table 11 - 24).
Most Cummins diesel engines are equipped with 77 ~ 85~C (170 ~ 185~F) medium temperature and 71 ~ 79~C (160 to 175~F) cryogenic thermostat. In a few cases, 82 to 91~C (180 - 195~F) high temperature heater is equipped for the use of diesel engines.
